Born April 11, 1922 in Baker Oregon to Dallas and Grace Carver. Lloyd came to Kerman later that year and attended Hawkeye school and later Kerman high school. He worked on farms in the Kerman area. In 1942 Lloyd joined the Army air Force and eventually served as far away as Iceland. After the war he was released from service in 1945 and after marrying Lola Cross, moved back to Kerman and farmed on Kearny Blvd until 1990. During this time he farmed dairy, cotton, hay and raisins. In 1990 he and the family moved into the city and retired.

Lloyd was a member of the Kerman Methodist church for over 80 years. Lloyd passed away on February 6 while living at the Cal Vet home in Fresno. He was preceded in death by his wife Lola, daughter Sandra and sons Alfred and Michael. He is survived by his son David and his grandchildren Brian and Brett Carver, Carine Hoff and Nick Soliz.
